When is no cooling or no heat an emergency?
Loss of cooling during extreme heat can become an emergency, especially when someone cannot safely stay in the building. Loss of heat also becomes urgent when indoor conditions threaten health. Move vulnerable people to a safer place first, then call our emergency line about the failed system.
Warm air from the vents can have several causes, including a failed capacitor, compressor trouble, or restricted airflow. Check the thermostat display and settings only if the area is safe. Note any error code, unusual sound, or ice on the refrigerant line.
What should I do about a burst pipe?
A burst pipe or uncontrolled leak calls for urgent plumbing help because water can spread into walls, floors, and electrical equipment. Close a familiar, safely accessible water shutoff valve if you can reach it without entering standing water. Keep people away from wet outlets and call for help.
Do not wade into water to reach a valve or breaker panel. From a dry location, note where the leak started and which rooms are affected. If you already know where the main water shutoff is, tell us when you call.
What should I do if wiring sparks or I smell gas?
If you smell gas, leave the building and call PG&E or 911 from outside first. Do not operate switches or use a phone inside. For sparking wiring or a burning electrical smell, stay away from the source. If there is smoke or fire, leave and call 911 from outside.
Keep others away from the affected area. Do not touch damaged wiring, remove an electrical panel cover, or keep resetting a breaker that trips. Once you are safe, call our emergency line and describe what you noticed.
What should I tell you when I call?
Call (559) 201-0101 and tell us your city, the problem, and any immediate hazards. Explain when it started and what the equipment is doing now. Our crews work out of northwest Fresno. Ask about scheduling during the call, since an open emergency line does not establish an arrival time.
Our process is Consultation, Estimate, Scheduling, Installation or repair, and Final walkthrough. We give a free estimate before any work starts.
We serve Fresno, Clovis, Madera, Hanford, Sanger, Reedley, Selma, Kerman, Kingsburg, Parlier, Orange Cove, Firebaugh, Coalinga, Huron, and San Joaquin. Tell us your city early in the call.
Questions people ask
Can someone come tonight if my AC stops cooling?
You can call our emergency line at (559) 201-0101 tonight or any other time. Ask about current scheduling when you call. Explain the indoor conditions and whether anyone is at risk from the heat. Move to a cooler, safe location if staying inside becomes dangerous.
What can I safely check if my furnace stops at night?
Check the thermostat display, heating setting, and requested temperature if there are no signs of danger. Write down any visible error code without opening equipment covers. If you smell gas, leave the building and call PG&E or 911 from outside first. Never attempt furnace wiring or fuel repairs yourself.
Does a breaker that keeps tripping count as urgent?
A repeatedly tripping breaker can point to an overload, a short circuit, or faulty equipment. Stop using the affected circuit and do not keep resetting the breaker. Sparking, smoke, or a burning smell makes the situation more urgent. Leave and call 911 if there is smoke or fire.
What details help with an emergency in an older house?
Tell us about any known older wiring, galvanized pipe, or past repairs near the problem. Describe the symptom instead of guessing the cause. A photo taken from a safe, dry location may help you explain it. Do not open walls, equipment covers, or electrical panels to investigate.
